Business trainings for returned Kyrgyz migrants
IOM organizes four-day trainings in Osh on 7-10 December and Bishkek on 14-17 December for 91 returned migrants, including 19 women and 72 men, on financial literacy to start or run an existing business, tax regimes, finding a niche, and business promotion on social media.
At the end of the training, all participants will be invited to the best business presentation contest. Finalists of this contest will receive additional support within the 1+1 scheme, which entails 50% of own funds plus 50% of grant support. In total, IOM plans to distribute 14 grants based on such criteria as sustainability and durability.
The initiative is part of the Project, Promoting safe migration to the UK for Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan nationals, supported by the UK Government.
