World Cleanup Day 2023
Bishkek and Osh- on the World Cleanup Day, about 170 international and local university and college students took an active part in cleaning the city parks within IOM’s Aikol Koom Project joining the Climate Week Initiative.
In a matter of few hours, the vast territory of the parks in Bishkek and Osh turned clean. Students removed 1.7 tons of garbage, overgrowth, and dry grass. Judging by the fighting spirit and excellent mood, the participants of the cleanup day were ready to go an extra mile to make our planet a better place.
World Cleanup Day is a unifying movement that transcends borders and cultural differences building bridges between otherwise disparate communities.
